This is a plain-language summary of how ForecastEd works and what we ask of you. Final legal terms are being prepared with counsel. If anything below conflicts with the final terms, the final terms govern.
ForecastEd is a college-counseling product. We help students build a profile, find colleges that fit, review essay drafts with AI, and chat with an AI advisor modeled on a real counselor. Some features are free; some require a paid subscription.
You must be at least 13 years old to use ForecastEd. You agree to keep your password secure, give us accurate information, and not let anyone else use your account. If you are under 18 we recommend reviewing this page with a parent or guardian.
We expect you to use ForecastEd for your own college research and writing. Do not submit essays that are not yours. Do not abuse the AI features (rate limits apply). Do not attempt to access other students' data or to manipulate our scoring or matching systems.
Our essay reviews and AI chat advice are opinions based on patterns in writing and data, not professional admissions counseling. We do not guarantee admission outcomes or score predictions. Use AI output as one input among many — especially alongside a real counselor, teacher, or trusted adult.
You own the essays and writing you submit. By using the essay-review feature you grant ForecastEd permission to (a) store your essays, (b) send the text to OpenAI for analysis, and (c) display the resulting reviews back to you. See our Privacy Policy for what we do with this data.
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account page; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods.
You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms — for example, abuse of the AI features, attempts to access other students' data, or fraudulent payment activity.
